February 2002 : Potential in developing industrial oleochemicals.  Formation of a regional working committee.

April 2002 : Demand made by the Thetford College for a Technological research facility for industrial oleochemicals

Summer 2002 : Introduced in the 2002-2007 CRÉ strategic plan, the integration of industrial oleochemicals as a growing field 
Oleochemistry recognized by the Accord program as an emerging field

August 2002 : The technological research facility for industrial oleochemicals accredited by the Ministry of Education

February 2003 : The Park's strategic development  plan released.  The beginning of a Technological research facility for industrial oleochemicals. 

September 2004 : Regional investment helped to set up the Park

February 2005 : Hiring of personnel

October 2006 : Official launching of the Park

The Science and Technological Park in the region of Thetford Mines starts up in granting its priority to industrial oleochemicals, an unexploited sector which can bring a multitude of opportunities of valorizing sub-products and innovations for the agricultural world, the industries who are  the future of technological developments.
